The Glen Ridge Police Department has released the following report of incidents to which its officers responded during the previous weeks. Anyone with information regarding an incident in the blotter is urged to contact the Glen Ridge Police Department at 973-748-5400.
• Police are investigating a case of burglary to motor vehicles, theft, criminal mischief and attempted theft of a motor vehicle reported Friday at 4:29 a.m.
According to police, an officer located three vehicles in the Benson Street parking lot with a window smashed out of each. All three vehicles had been entered, and had property removed. One of the vehicles had damage to the dashboard and steering column in an attempt to steal the vehicle.
All three incidents are under investigation by the Glen Ridge Police Department Detective Bureau, according to reports.
• Quintia Desseau, 28, of Dorchester, Mass., was arrested on Jan. 5 at 12:34 a.m. on Bloomfield Avenue for outstanding warrants and providing false information to police.
She was transported to headquarters for processing and held on a warrant from Atlantic County, according to reports.
• Bryant Bustamante, 19, of Wagram, N.C., was arrested on Jan. 7 at 12:08 a.m. for outstanding warrants. He was transported to headquarters for processing and later released, according to reports.
• Police are investigating a case of burglary and theft reported on Jan. 7 at 9 a.m. on Willow Street. Police report someone entered the victim’s garage, removing electronic equipment.
• Sabrina M. Bartee, 24, of Montclair, was arrested on Jan. 7 at 9:44 p.m. for outstanding warrants. She was processed at headquarters and released on bail, according to reports.
• Damon R. Boatwright, 23, of Montclair, was arrested on Jan. 7 at 9:44 p.m. on Belleville Avenue for possession of suspected marijuana and outstanding warrants. He was transported to headquarters for processing and released, according to reports.
• Daniel Moore, 47, of Montclair, was arrested on Jan. 11 at 8:39 p.m. after police responded to a report of a man attempting to gain entry to a vehicle parked in the rear driveway of a residence on Oxford Street.
The resident banged on the door and the suspect fled towards Montclair. Police located Moore and placed him under arrest for outstanding warrants. He was transported to headquarters, processed, and turned over to the Essex County Sheriff’s Department, according to reports.
• Police arrested Jonathan Swinton, 28, of N.Y., was arrested on Jan. 12 at 11:14 a.m. for outstanding warrants. He was processed at headquarters and turned over to Clifton Police Department, according to reports.
