GRHS wrestler O'Keefe wins District title

Evan O’Keefe won the 152-pound weight class title to lead the Glen Ridge High School varsity wrestling team at the District 13 tournament at West Essex High in North Caldwell on Feb. 20.
O’Keefe pinned Passaic Valley’s Jack Mulroony in 5:11 in the final.
John Grimaldi also took third for the Ridgers at 135.
The Ridgers finished seventh overall among the 10 scoring teams.
O’Keefe and Grimaldi advanced to the Region 4 tournament that began Feb. 23 and will continue Feb. 26-27 at West Orange High.
Last season, O’Keefe finished second in the District at 152.
