The Glen Ridge High School boys’ varsity basketball team hopes to turn around its season after losing five straight recently.
Jamie Smith scored 16 points and Solomon Givens had 10 points in the 45-43 home loss to Nutley on Jan. 12.
The Ridgers led, 33-25, but Nutley rallied with a 20-10 fourth quarter run.
Devin Garrity had five points; Zach Thomas and Dan DiGioia each had four points and Nate Deacon and Jackson Kinley each had two points for the Ridgers.
Smith had 16 points, Garrity and Givens each had 12 points and Kinley added 10 points in the 56-51 home loss to Newark Arts last Saturday Jan. 14.
