Glen Ridge Women's Club to support Red Cross Month with Second Annual Blood Drive at Glen Ridge Womens Club

March 3, 2010 from 12pm to 6pm

The Women's Club of Glen Ridge will once again sponsor a blood drive with their local American Red Cross chapter on Wednesday March 3rd. The drive is sponsored by the Community Service Department of The Women's Club of Glen Ridge. The American Red Cross touches the lives of millions of people every year. Whether it's providing disaster relief and almost half of the nation's blood supply or teaching health and safety courses to prepare you and your neighbors for life's everyday emergencies, people depend on immediate action of the Red Cross to always be there.

The Montclair – Glen Ridge – Nutley Chapter responds immediately to house or apartment fires (the majority of our disaster responses). We are also trained to respond in the event of hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, hazardous materials spills, transportation accidents, explosions, and other natural and man-made disasters.

Red Cross disaster relief focuses on meeting people's immediate emergency disaster-caused needs . When a disaster threatens or strikes, the Red Cross provides shelter, food, and health and mental health services to address basic human needs.
